💋 From a Virgin to Virgin Voyages – What a First Time! 💋

Updated: Aug 31

If you’re going to lose your sailing virginity, you might as well do it in style… and Brilliant Lady did not disappoint. From stepping into Portsmouth terminal (hello holiday mode from the moment you strut in) to disembarking at the end of the day, I was left weak at the knees, and not just because I tried to cover every inch of her decks in one go.

First Impressions

The crew? Flirty, fabulous, and full of sparkle, they had me feeling like a Rockstar from the second I checked in. Shopping was tempting (seriously, I had my eye on some merch for my sailors), but alas, nothing to take home that day… I guess I’ll just have to go back for more. Shame, right? 😉

Spa Secrets

Now let’s talk indulgence. Treatments mostly hover around that magic $299, and the offer of “buy two, get one free” had me thinking of ways to smuggle myself back in. Three hours of spa access with each treatment too, enough time to steam, soak, and maybe sin a little. The spa staff were divine (and knew how to tease us with what’s to come… pity those steam rooms weren’t ready to play that day).

Cabin Confessions

I toured the lot, and let’s be real, I need the XL Sea Terrace or bigger. Those tiny bathroom doors in the smaller cabins gave me caravan flashbacks, and I am just not that girl. But the suites? Oh my, the Massive Suite is pure fantasy, a hot tub on the balcony, private pool vibes, and plenty of room for mischief. Home away from home, but with more fizz and less washing up.

Food & Fizz

Lunch at Rojo gave me tasty tapas (though service was a little too chilled, I had to skip dessert, and I never like skipping pleasure). Dinner was “Up with a Twist” and WOW — naughty, hilarious, full of innuendo and cocktails that got stronger the smaller they got. By the end, even my carnivore plus-one had to tap out… and if Sir Richard ever fancies spicing things up, I could recommend a dash of botanist-style infusions that would be mind-blowing.

Showtime Shenanigans

“Murder in the Manor” was clever but hard to see (standing infront of TVs is not the vibe). Luckily, “Up with a Twist” more than made up for it, dinner with a side of dirty jokes and drinks galore. Exactly the kind of entertainment Virgin Voyages does best: cheeky, a bit risqué, and utterly addictive.

Poolside Pondering

The pool looked a little… compact. But seasoned sailors swear there’s always space to splash and chill, so I’ll hold judgement until I’m shoulder-to-shoulder with a full ship of party people.

Final Word

One day wasn’t enough — I’m already mid-Seacademy, eyeing up my Gold Knot, and planning my next voyage. Brilliant Lady seduced me from start to finish, and I can’t wait for round two.

So here’s to Virgin Voyages: cheeky, sexy, a little outrageous — and an absolutely unforgettable. From one Brilliant Lady to another- See you soon 💋
